"Poi ti spiego..." (I'll explain later) was his shtick. We were boys, except Saverio, who was still in his infancy. If he was caught in the act, he would get out of the affair in a flash with a disarming "Poi ti spiego...".

Even today, when I have to save myself from "one of those" situations, I say as innocently as possible: "Poi ti spiego...".
